Seto Philharmonic Orchestra, a first professional orchestra in Shikoku, has given a variety of performances such as regular concerts and ensembles of municipalities and companies, co-starring cultural and artistic groups inside and outside Kagawa prefecture, since 2001.

The orchestra has passionately committed to bringing the power of music to children through special music programs held in elementary and junior high schools, delivering musical learning experiences in classrooms and aiming to expanding the number of people familiar with music.

SPO was established in November 2001 as a non-profitable organization with the aim of revitalizing local music culture. The orchestra became a general incorporated foundation in April 2009 and a public interest incorporated association in January 2010. In October 2014, the orchestra received the 2014 Kagawa Prefectural Award for Arts and Culture. It joined in Association of Japanese Symphony Orchestras as an associate member in June 2016.
