Philippe Lynov, the 1st Prize Winner of the 5th Takamatsu International Piano Competition, won the “Xiamen International Piano Competition”(2024.11.07)

Philipp Lynov, the first prize winner of the 5th Takamatsu International Piano Competition, won the first prize at the “2024 Xiamen International Piano Competition” held in Xiamen, China from October 26 to November 6, 2024.

 The competition is held every three years under the auspices of the Central Conservatory of Music (CCOM) and the Xiamen municipal government, aiming to discover new talents and nurture young players in the field of piano. This year, more than 150 applicants from 17 countries were applied. 34 pianists chosen from among them participated in the first round of the competition in Xiamen. 12 semi-finalists were narrowed down to 6 finalists, who performed a piano concerto with the CCOM Orchestra on November 4 and 5.

 After winning the Takamatsu International Piano Competition, Mr. Lynov performed around the world as his additional prizes where his technique and musical ability were further refined. His further success in the future is something to look forward to.
