Masamichi Tsukuda, Director of the Takamatsu International Piano Competition Organizing Committee Office, received the 65th Shikoku Shimbun Cultural Award for his contribution to the cultural improvement of Kagawa. Mr. Tsukuda has been involved in the management of the Takamatsu International Piano Competition since its inception, with the aim of creating a competition that would serve as a goal for young people who aspire to become world-class musicians.

Applications are now being accepted for the 6th Takamatsu International Piano Competition to be held in February next year. The Takamatsu International Piano Competition will continue to bring young pianists to the world, and we hope that Kagawa and Takamatsu will become more vibrant as a city of music," said Mr. Tsukuda.
