On June 3, 2016, press conference was held at the pressroom of Kagawa Prefectural Office to announce that the Takamatsu International Piano Competition was accepted to be a member of the World Federation of International Music Competitions. The World Federation of International Music Competitions was established in Geneva, Switzerland in 1975 aiming to maintain a network of the internationally recognized music competitions. The TIPC Organizing Committee had been aiming to be a member of the federation since the first competition was held in 2006. Each member of the committee is very pleased with the news of acceptance which makes the competition international in deed as well as in name.
The 4th Takamatsu International Piano Competition will be held in March 2018. We will greatly appreciate further support and cooperation.
